Chris DiFrancesco 4-26-14 Senior Trans Exhibit- Mechanically Inclined Benchmark #1- Individuality Skill- #2

As a kid I grew up working with my dad in the garage. Doing so I gained a skill that I can apply to several trades. This skill is that I am mechanically inclined. I also have further developed this skill through many classes in high school. When growing up I was always working with my dad, on cars to dirt bikes; this continued into my high school career. When I got into my sophomore year I started taking Mr. Greens engineering classes and I continued furthering myself mechanically. I did this both in theory and in practice; in theory by doing the math and in practice by building projects such as the bridge project and marble sorter project. My junior year I enrolled in PLTW at the career center and this jumped my skill in being mechanically inclined. At career center I learned how to use several manufacturing machines such as the mill, and lathe. Also I became efficient in a Computer Aided Drafting program called Solidworks. I also was in an after school activity called Robotics; in robotics I put all of the things I learned in career center into practice. I realized when I got into high school that being mechanically inclined would be a good skill to have. I am now employed at a manufacturing company because of being mechanically inclined. I plan to continue developing my skill both in my career in personal life. In my personal life I plan to further develop in by doing projects such as restoring cars and other mechanical items. I am glad that I spent a lot of timing growing up working with my dad in the garage, I never realized what I learned until I got to apply it.
