P110: Accept new and changing responsibilities

The summer before my senior year started, I took on another role of responsibility. I got a job as a physical therapist aide at Orthopaedic Rehab pecialists. !etting this job meant that I "ould be going to school for se#en hours, then immediately after school until se#en at night I "ould be "orking at OR . I "ork four days a "eek "ith a total of si$teen hours clocked in at the end of the "eek. I "as #ery fortunate to find a job that I did not ha#e to "ork "eekends, but it "as going to be a challenge to be "orking late, and then ha#ing to go home, ha#e dinner, sho"er, and still make time for home"ork. %hen I began my job I kne" that it "as going to be a little difficult to juggle school, "ork, family, friends, and e$tra&curricular acti#ities I "as currently in#ol#ed in. Although senior year has been a challenge to 'P(()* accept new and changing responsibilities it+s also made me gro" up a little bit more. ,efore this year I ne#er had a job or had to "orry about earning my o"n money and I reali-ed rather .uickly that it "as a "hole ne" le#el of independency. I had no problem getting a job and sa#ing my money, but I took on a fe" responsibilities such as paying half of my car insurance each month and ha#ing to sa#e half of my paycheck e#ery t"o "eeks for college. I don+t ha#e a problem doing either, but it has taught me ho" to budget .uite "ell and reali-e that money does not gro" on trees. As I keep gro"ing older more and more responsibilities are going to be put on me. %hen I go to college I am going to ha#e the responsibility of al"ays making sure I+m going to class because I do not al"ays ha#e someone telling me to. It+s the same "ay "hen it comes to studying, I ha#e to stay moti#ated and concentrate on my career. %hen I+m out on my o"n, I ha#e ne" responsibilities of ha#ing to pay my bills and on time. I also ha#e the responsibility to make my o"n appointments and buy my o"n groceries. %hen I become a doctor I ha#e the responsibility of keeping all my patients healthy, treated properly, and information pri#ate.
