Chapter/Section Study Guide: Chapter One

Directions: Reread or skim through the chapter again and then answer the questions below. Try to include part of the question in your answer. Make sure you provide facts from the book in most cases, you should write facts exactly as they appear from the book and you need to provide a page number as well.

10. Pretend for a moment that you are Elie Wiesel. Try to imagine how you would feel about: being forcibly removed from your home getting packed into a train car and sent to an unknown destination for an unknown reason listening to the frantic and maniacal rantings of a crazy woman you used to know as being normal finally seeing fires which you now know to be Nazis burning humans
