org May 2014 Portfolio Judges Leading Edge Portfolio Panel Natomas Charter 4600 Blackrock Drive Sacramento, CA, 95835 Dear Portfolio Panel Members, Over the course of three years I have spent at Leading Edge Academy, I have grown and matured as a student. I have gotten to learn and develop many new skills such as working effectively with my fellow peers, time management, and being able to connect to the five pillars, Appreciating Cultural Diversity, Building Shared Leadership/Partnership, Critical Thinking, Global Thinking, and Technological Savvy. Using what I have learned from this experience will help me be prepared for the future and real world problems. I have received many awards from various teachers from different classes including being a student who has earned Principles List in all trimesters. One of the broadest values I have learned at Leading Edge is leadership. I have gotten to understand the roles, importance, and true meaning of what a leader really is. I have learned many leadership skills and showcased them almost everywhere. I have been a Mentor, so I have been a guide for the sixth graders and helped them out their first year in middle school. I have also displayed my leadership skills in class helping out my fellow peers and showing my teachers that I can set a high bar and be a role model for others. I am anxious to move on as a student at Mira Loma IB and am eager to becoming a Matador next year because of all the preparedness Leading Edge has provided for me. Here at Leading Edge Academy there have been many challenges that I have faced and overcame. I hope that when I go to highschool there will similar challenges set for me to help strengthen some of my weaknesses. I feel very proud and self-confident that I am ready to become a student at Mira Loma IB because of my hard work and academic achievements.
