United States? 1. Three Viewpoints: The animals themselves The consumers/pet buyers The breeder 2. The Animals a) They are a voice because they cannot speak for themselves. Their voice has to be represented through the power of human voice. b) Their viewpoint is that puppy mills should be illegal throughout the country. c) This group has this viewpoint because they are the ones that are directly suffering. The Consumers a) These people are a voice because they are emotionally and financially dealing with the effects of a puppy mill. b) The viewpoint of this group would mostly be to make puppy mills illegal. However, not all consumers would have this voice because puppy mills may not affect them. c) They would have this viewpoint because they are purchasing sick and unhealthy puppies that end up costing them more money in the future. The Breeders a) They have a voice because they are the producers and root of this situation. b) Their viewpoint would oppose the line of inquiry because they would want to keep puppy mills legal. c) This is their viewpoint because puppy mills are their source of income.
