Final Conference Letter Dear Ms. Douglas, Wow, its been one heck of a semester.

This English class was probably the most challenging one I have ever taken. You challenged me in a way I never thought I would be challenged and I thank you for that. At the beginning of the semester, I did not think I was going to survive, but I made it my goal to come out of this class strong, which is why I think I deserve an A in the class. Even though my participation in class discussions may have been low (Im more of an observer, rather than a talker), I think my hard work in the class and high attendance makes up for that. Id hate to compare myself to my peers but I think I followed directions and completed assignments better than about half the class. Other than doing my work, I was always alert and listening to class discussions. As for my e-portfolio, I put a lot of work into this project. This was much more work that my English 1101 e-portfolio. I was also discouraged with this project and did not think it was going to come out as well as it did. I am actually very proud of my work. If you could compare it to my project last semester, I think you would also agree that my work and effort has greatly improved. You can tell I actually took time to perfect it and come up with something visually appealing. For this project, I also think I deserve an A, or at least a B+. I dont think my effort put into my portfolio or this class should go unnoticed. Thank you for having me as a student and for also being so interested in my topic. Without your help, I wouldnt have made it this far.

Sincerely, Ayana Hicks
