This two day course in York will have an emphasis on a combined approach utilising the latest techniques in plastic & orthopaedic trauma surgery, this intensive hands-on wet lab course (using fresh frozen specimens) is suitable for orthopaedic and plastic surgeons involved in the early or late management of open tibial trauma.

Based on the BAPRAS/BOA Standards for the Management of Open Fractures of the Lower Limb Course Convenors: Mr Michael F Pearse FRCS Orth & Professor Jagdeep Nanchahal PhD FRCS (Plast) Topics include: Principles of: Debridement Techniques Classification & Early management Amputation or Salvage Degloving & Vascular injuries Unilateral & Circular external fixation IM Nailing techniques Fracture union & Bone loss management Local & free flap soft tissue Reconstruction Case Presentations Problem Solving Session Candidate Management of Complex Cases Registration Places are limited so please contact S&N directly (contact details below) or your local territory manager as early as possible.
