Education is a journey. This journey is never ending, but, instead, it is traveled from birth until death. Reflecting on my past, I can recall the teachers who have walked this journey with me and have given me the desire to walk along side others. I believe children are the future. It is my responsibility to foster your child with intellectual, social, and emotional guidance. The teachers who spoke the most onto my life were the ones who continually pushed me towards greatness, with the confidence that I would meet their expectations. As I continue to walk my journey, I still hear the whisper of their footsteps guiding me towards excellence. Knowing that if they believe in me, I am able. This is a gift I wish to give your child. Being a teacher, I believe that it is my responsibility to reassure all children that they are more than capable of meeting and surpassing my expectations for them. In order to do this, I will make my classroom a safe place for a child to explore through hands-on opportunities and play centers that are developmentally appropriate. In these opportunities and centers, your children will have multiple tasks to complete and learn from. This will give your children the chance to dive in and learn from the classroom community to increase the way of thinking of your child. With many different task and opportunities, not only will I, as a teacher, be able to provide individual time to each student in order to meet their needs, but they will also have an abundance of chances to try their best and journey to excellence and a sense of accomplishment. I am a firm believer in aiming children towards the journey of excellence, but this is not a journey your child completes with just a school teacher. It is instead a collaboration of you as the parent/guardian and I as a teacher. Using this idea of collaboration, I aim to help your child begin the journey of education.
