Evaluation of Teaching Effectiveness

(Complete by the 4th week of the semester.)
Contact the Library-Media Specialist to reserve video equipment
Purpose: To help identify teaching strengths and areas for improving your effectiveness as a teacher.
Immediately review videotape using the questions listed below to guide your analysis. Include a copy of the
lesson plan you taught with the videotape. Your cooperating teacher and/or university supervisor may also
want to review your videotape to compare your assessment with theirs.
NOTE: Complete when you first begin to assume classroom instruction. Add this to your
portfolio for your university supervisor. Complete a second videotape near the end of your
student teaching.
