It is with great pleasure that I recommend Rocio Padilla to your program. I have known Rocio for
three years as her counselor. In this time I have found her to be an amazing young lady. Rocio5s
passion to succeed drove her to my office the first semester of the ninth grade. She came to me
inquiring about the best direction to take to ensure she made it onto a top four year university. Since
that point Rocio has worked tirelessly in class to achieve the best possible grades. She takes
advantage of any opportunity to grow as a student and learn more about college. Rocio has joined
the Girls Inc club which provides additional support and mentorship for young ladies desiring to
become strong professionals. She is active on campus, participating on the basketball and swim
teams. She exhibits strong leadership as a member of the board of the Finance Academy. She has
been involved in numerous community service projects such as the Los Angeles Latino International
Film Festival, The St.Agnes Church Blood Drive, and has volunteered as a math tutor and at a local
clinic. Rocio has developed as a young professional looking to pursue a career in the business world
by participating in internships through the California Science Center, Sedgwick Law Firm, and
Iridescent.
Rocio is self-motivated, tenacious, and has great follow through. She is focused and has her eyes
on her future. She takes constructive criticism well and makes the necessary adjustments. She is
not afraid to ask for help and is always willing to help others as well.
I am confident that Rocio will make a great candidate in your program and bring the same wonderful
