ople who are in the greatest need of help/ no matter where they live. However so
me may argue that they should support their own country first. Discuss & state y
our opinion.
Ans:-It is often heard that the wheel of mankind is a journey because of the hum
anitarian push given by a select few. In todays world which works on the fact Man
for himself principle there still are people who believe in serving others withou
t adulterating this noble feeling with selfishness.
It is a known fact that third world nations are engulfed by poverty, malnutritio
n, health problems and lack of education. The governments there are not well equ
ipped and at times incapable of supporting even the basic needs of its citizens.
This is where various N.G.O. s and charitable organizations play a critical rol
e in supplementing relief and support activities. Classic examples can be cited
such as Bill Gates Foundation, Mother Teresa Foundation etc.
These organizations are working selflessly towards upliftment of the under privi
leged, medically challenged and less fortunate children of God. Their areas of w
ork are not restricted by location or breed or nation of the needy. It is in tim
es of natural calamities like earthquakes tsunamis that the importance of charit
able organizations gets highlighted. These institutes channel the efforts and co
ntributions of people world over who are prepared to devote their share of chari
ty towards the needy. Many individual Samaritans like Baba Amte, also in their o
wn ways have redefined charity.
Charitable work cannot have regional political or racial boundaries. Gods helping
hand reaches in the form of humanity to its distressed children. Every human be
ing should contribute to his best possible level towards charity, without being
biased.
