Is Holden a hero or an anti-hero?

In literature, a hero is typically seen as an individual who shows courage, altruism,
embarks on a great journey to prove him/herself, and proves to be brave by prevailing in
the end. And anti-hero, therefore, is flawed and lacks those characteristics. While not
evil or an antagonist, they are a protagonist who falls short of the qualities needed to
be seen as a hero.

Depending on how you look at him, Holden may be viewed as an anti-hero or a hero.
