1 Write in Spanish in the Past Tense, using 140150 words, the story told in the series of pictures
below.

2 Write in Spanish a composition of 140150 words on one of the following:
(a) Escribe una carta al alcalde de un pueblo o una ciudad en Espaa (o un pas hispanohablante
de Latinoamrica) que quiere establecer contacto con tu pueblo/ciudad. Describe tu pueblo/
ciudad, explica un poco de la historia de la regin y de lo que hay que hacer para los turistas
all. Indica qu tipo de intercambios o visitas ser posible entre las dos comunidades.
(b) Escribe un dilogo entre dos estudiantes que van a organizar un nuevo club de cine. Qu
pelculas van a poner, y por qu? Cunto va a costar una entrada para ver una pelcula?
Dnde se pondrn las pelculas?
(c) Tu colegio va a establecer un comit de estudiantes. T quieres presentarte como candidato/a
para representar a tus compaeros de clase. Escribe un artculo para el peridico del colegio,
explicando por qu eres la persona ideal. Qu cambios sugeriras? Cmo mejoraras la
vida para los estudiantes?
3 Translate into Spanish.
Elena was nervous. She put on her shorts, white t-shirt and sports shoes. She looked at the clock.
It was 3.30. She had to go.
Fifteen minutes later she was waiting beside the other girls.
She heard the shot and ran as fast as she could. There were thousands of people shouting. Elena
tried to concentrate even more. Only 50 metres left, but it was difficult to breathe. There was one
person in front of her. Her legs were hurting but she had to keep running. Suddenly it was all over!
She had won the race!
The music began as Elena walked up the steps. The photographers asked her to smile as she was
presented with the gold medal in the Olympic Games. She had spent five years preparing herself
for this moment. Day after day, she had got up early and had worked at the gym before going to
the University. Was it worth it? Absolutely!
