Georgia Department of Human Services oversees the Supplemental Nutritional
Assistance Program and will also be required to conduct drug testing under the new law. House Bill 772 supports existing services as long as the applicants and recipients tests and maintain negative drug testing results. The Bill requires applicants to pay $17 for drug testing if they have Medicaid insurance and the total undisclosed fee if applicants do not have Medicaid. Moreover, there is no fiscal note that accompanies this bill.
