Holocaust Speaker-

A week or so ago I went to Sabin room 02 to go listen to a story told by someone who
had lived through the holocaust. It was about an hour long and we were able to ask questions
afterwards.

Reflection-
When I first decided to go to this speaker, I thought she was someone who had been to
a concentration camp and lived through escaping the camp. I soon realized she never went to
the camp because she was sent off to live with people who would hide her identity for her as
well as help her blend in by changing her religion and way of thinking. Later in her life she found
out her dad died before making it to the camp and her moms remains were never found.
I decided to go to this speaker because some of my friends asked me to go and Ive
always found the holocaust to be an interesting topic. I learned that even if you werent sent off
to concentration camps, you could be greatly impacted by the horror of the war. This lady was
so incredibly brave at such a young age, I couldnt even imagine going through some of the
things she had to overcome.
