My personal testimony is the foundation of my relationship with the Lord Jesus

Christ. Unlike most, I have not been saved all of my life; I did not grow up attending
hurh on a regular basis. It was not until I was almost twelve years old that I prayed for
Jesus to beame Lord of my life. !hen I was younger, I knew who Jesus was, but I never
really understood that "e was more than #ust a $good man.%
&ll of this hanged after 'eptember eleventh, when my family moved to a new
house and I met my good friend Morgan. Morgan is a year older than I, but at the time we
were in the grade; it was not before long that we beame fast friends. (ne day when we
were playing in her driveway she handed me a letter that invited me to go with her to
hurh on !ednesday night. &fter that night, I began attending hurh with Morgan very
!ednesday night; all of the girls were together and eah night we would work through a
page in the workbook.
)inally, one night we reahed a setion in the workbook that went step by step
through the gospel and I an remember as the teaher was speaking, feeling as though the
lesson was written #ust for me. *hat same evening, when I got arrived home I prayed for
forgiveness and asked the Lord to hange my life forever. &fter praying I knew that I was
now a part of +od,s family. I ontinued to attend hurh and to grow stronger in my
faith, until around the summer after my seventh grade year. *his is when my faith started
to waver. I knew that I was still saved, however, I started to slip bak into some old
habits. *his didn,t last very long; that same month my youth pastor deided to hold a
revival and prolaimed the gospel using a reative demonstration. *he "oly 'pirit used
this to touh my heart with the mistakes I was making and I reommitted myself to
Christ. I deided to give +od full ontrol of my life and to whole-heartedly follow "is
plan.
+iving +od omplete ontrol of my life is the best thing I ould have ever done
and though sometimes I have to remember to stay in the passengers seat, it is all worth it
for what +od has been able to do in my life. I will be going on my eighth summer as a
Child .vangelism )ellowship summer missionary and +od has blessed me an e/treme
passion for teahing hildren. 0eause of +od,s unfailing mery and love I am able to
live my life serving the Creator of the universe, my love and protetion and guide.
