song is also a good way o" kee#ing the children interested during circle time or song time.

Age group: &oddlers -0 months to three years $a!le to recogni8e !ody #arts+ #lacing right and le"t
sides o" !ody #arts%.
When to use: &his would either !e a great outside activity to use with an actual !alance !eam "or
indoor use instead o" using a !alance !eam a teacher could #lace a long #iece o" ta#e or ro#e and have
the children try to !alance without ste##ing o"" the line this would !e great "or younger toddlers.
Movement&Activity 1$:

Movement description:
O#en u# a #arachute and have the children shake it li"t it u# and !ring it !ack down. Add !alls or any
other #retend things availa!le to see the di""erent reactions children might have. &eacher could even ask
o#en ended Euestions as to what else they could add and what might ha##en.
Materials: 7arachute and anything a teacher might want to add I.e.) !alls "eathers a #retend !a!y.
Age group: &oddlers -- months to three years a!le to hold on to the #arachute and a!le to li"t and
!ring down to see what they #laced in the middle.
When to use: Great outdoor activity gets everyone standing and working together. <ach child can
have a chance to toss in a !all to the center o" the #arachute and see what ha##ens to it. It shows team
work and is great "or shaking out the !ody.
