Question or problem:
Create your own imaginary place to go, what would be in your imaginary place?
Strategies for student collaboration:
Students will work individually and come together after creating a picture of the place that they
wish to go. Once the students send in their picture, it will be put up in a video thread where the
students will comment on another students work. This will get other students to be able to
communicate as a group once the work is done. Students will also be able to give support
towards other artwork and talk about their sight word GO while expressing how it pertains to
the story. Students would refer back to places you will go and get ideas.
Resources students will use to meet the requirements:
Students will use magazines to look for what they will make a collage to represent the place that
the students would like to go. Students will refer back to the videos how to spell GO and how
the word sounds. There will be an example of how the assignment is to be completed, it will be
able to help students make their own.
Strategies for feedback/scaffolding:
Individually to each student, I will go over their picture with them to make sure they have all the
necessary items in their picture. The teacher would explain to the students to listen carefully to
how Go is spelled and sounded because they will have to place it below their picture.
Time Allotted: (30-60 min total)
Picture will be due on Friday after the assignment is assigned.
The comments will be due the Monday after.
