Last season the Falcons and Pride met in Ches-
ter, Pa., where Messiah came out with the victory
2-1. Brooke Sands had the game-winner in the
45th minute.
Head coach of the Pride, Larissa Gillespie, is
in her 14th season with the team and holds an
overall record of 131-101.
Leading Widener on offense this season is
sophomore Meghan Garvey with seven goals and
two assists for 16 points.
Last game against Eastern University, freshman
Moriah Pfautz scored three goals in the first 3:41
of the second half. She leads the team with six
goals on the season.
The game against the Pride today is the second
conference game of the season. Currently the Fal-
cons are leading the Commonwealth standings with
their 6-2 and 1-0 records.
The Falcons are currently averaging three goals
scored per game and 17 shots per game.
