Franklin D. Roosevelt was inaugurated the 32
nd
U.S.A president. This was
during the worst difficult situation the American had faced since the Civil
War. The U.S.A economy went down by 1933 which was called the Great
depression. More than 13 Billion Americans were unemployed the amount of
money was paid an hour went down to 60 percent. The business in the
economy was so bad that each business was losing about 6 billion dollars. He
addressed the nation by radio and announced his plans for a New Deal.
Throughout that day the President met with his Cabinet designees at the
White House.
President Roosevelt addresses also the subject full force telling the American
people in a direct quote from the speech this great Nation will endure as it has
endured, will revive and will prosper. Which he was trying to make his nation
prosper and keep moving forward no matter what.
In his first hundreds days he proposed, and Congress enacted, a sweeping
program to bring recovery to business and agriculture, relief to the
unemployed and to those in danger of losing farms and homes, and reform,
especially through the establishment of the Tennessee Valley Authority. The
nation came to a succeed by 1935 some measure of recovery, but businessmen
and bankers were turning more and more against Roosevelt's New Deal program
which the program Roosevelt was making was not pretty bad . Franklin D.
Roosevelts Inauguration written during the Great Depression was designed to
light a passionately burning flame in the citizens who were going through a rough
time. During this greatly troubled time President Roosevelt made this speech in
order to give his people an idea of what was to come, to inspire. Roosevelts
speech influenced the nation great and gave them hope for the future, for a much
better great future.
