New Student Orientation- 30 min presentation & game outline

1) Greet students at the door and distribute interest card (3 min)
a) Welcomes to the Transfer Success Center Session please take a seat anywhere youd
like.
b) Thank you for deciding to join our session on the services offered by the Transfer
Success Center.
c) Please fill out the interest cards we handed to you, as we will be collecting them at the
end of the presentation.
2) Introductions (TSC Team).
a) Hi my name is _____________ I am a __________ at the Transfer Success Center.
b) Today you will be watching a quick 7-10 min presentation, highlighting the services
offered by the Transfer Success Center and we encourage everyone to listen carefully and
write notes on this presentation, as there will be a game afterwards.
c) Also during the presentation write down any question you might have and we will be
happy to answer them at the end!
TSC Presentation (10 minutes)
3) Game Explanation (2 minutes)
a) TODAY WE WILL BE PLAYING JEOPARDY (the crowd goes wild!)
i) I nstructions: In this game, you will be in teams. You will pick a topic and the
number of your choice. Then you will consult your team mates and write down your
answer on your paper.
ii) Every team will have a chance to answer a different question.
4) Organize groups (2 min)
a) We will go around the room and have you count 1-3 to create 3 teams by the number
youre assigned.
b) Now join everyone with the same number at the post marked Team: #1,2,or 3.
c) Now if I may have everyones attention, Lets Play TSC Jeopardy!

Play Jeopardy (10 minutes)

5) Congratulate the winning team, thank everyone for playing!!!
6) Hand out prizes (when available) to the winning team (3 minutes)
a) Collect interest cards at the door.
