ANNEXURE A
INSTRUCTIONS FOR REGISTRATION ON NSR
GENERAL
The address of the NSR website is www.nationalskillsregistry.com
Make sure that the data you provide is in NSR is accurate. The data submitted in NSR is
subject to verification and will become your permanent record in NSR.
Also ensure that the data provided in NSR and TCS Background Check (BGC) form is the
same. Any discrepancy may lead to complications and your BGC report may become
negative.

PART I: FILLING UP OF DATA IN NSR SITE ONLINE
When you start the registration process, the NSR system would ask NSR registration
requested by?
o Please select
The option another company
Choose TATA Consultancy Services Ltd. from the drop-down list.
o Mention the address of TCS as printed in the offer letter sent to you.
o In the field Offer ID in NSR, enter the CT Reference No. E.g. CT2009XXXXXX
(mentioned on the first page of your offer letter).
On successful completion of Part 1, you will be issued an Acknowledgement form on-line.

PART II: COMPLETING BIOMETRICS
After completing the registration in the NSR site, you should ;
Complete the bio-metric process at a NSR service location. {or Point of Service (POS)}.
You have to pay the Registration fee, as prescribed by NSR, at the time of completing the
bio-metric process (Currently, the NSR Registration charge is Rs.331/- (Rupees Three
Hundred and Thirty One Only)). You can pay this amount either online or by cash at the POS.
This amount is not reimbursable by TCS.
Submit the Acknowledgement Form, generated after the Part I of the Registration process,
as proof to complete the bio-metric process at the POS.

Please note that no data should be changed in the NSR system after completion of Bio
Metrics. This could result in impacting your BGC check negatively.
On completing bio-metric process successfully, an ITPIN will be mailed to your email by the
NSR system.

CHECKLIST FOR REGISTRATION ON NSR


Background check by NSR subscriber companies (If authorised by you to view your profile or
being your present employer company). Incorrect information will result in negative comments
against your profile. IMPORTANT: Please ensure to enter only correct details as the same can be
subjected to


Stage -1 : Internet registration on NSR

Access to Internet for about 15 minutes and connectivity with Printer will be required.

(Since it is a secure site, security information may be displayed, please select Yes)

Click on Register for NSR Link, site will open a new window and display the registration
process, fees and also terms & conditions. You are encouraged to read and understand the
same.
Following details are required to be entered on NSR site. Also mentioned are the documents
that may be referenced for entering the information and relevant helping remarks about the
details being entered.

University does not appear you can enter the same by
selecting the option Others from the list.

Stage II Biometric Registration at Point of Service (POS) :

Visit POS set-up. Please Carry:

What does POS do: POS will collect your acknowledgement form, verify your details with proof
of identity, collect the payment and will also collect your finger-prints. POS will scan your
photograph as provided by you, please review the scanned image as the same will be printed on
your card and in your NSR profile. POS will issue Transaction Identification Number (TIN).


Your ITPIN Generation: POS will upload the details to NSR central system. Your ITPIN will be
generated by NSR system and an email will be sent to your registered email ID. Now you can
start accessing your profile. Please review your profile regularly and keep it updated. You can
avail of all other NSR services like authorizing companies to view your profile, view status of
such authorization, ordering background check report on your profile etc.
