Factoring Knowledge Package

In mathematics, it is crucial for students to have prior knowledge of specific topics in order to be able to learn how to factor.
Being able to divide, multiply, add, and subtract are basic fundamentals which will ease student learning when it comes to factoring.
These operations allow students to understand what it means to find common factors of whole number and fractions, and use these as
tools to factor out equations by Grouping or the Stack Method. Factoring is also useful for future lessons such as graphing an
equation. When one factors out function, the x- intercepts become instantly visible; this helps students graph the function and find its
equation.
