The Black Cat Script
March 26, 2014

M: Our story starts when the real drama begins. -opens book- but first a prologue closes
book- Timothy was a wonderful person but alcohol drove him insane. In reality Tim and his cat
named Pluto were inseparable. Although right now, we close in on Nicole and Pluto.

N: Im so sorry, Pluto. Its not your fault. You didnt deserve it.

P: meow

M: This tender moment is sweet but then the door opens

T: Woman, Im home!!

N: Im sorry Pluto.
-Nicole runs-

M: As I mentioned before this man is slightly insane but with the alcohol he was not just insane,
he also had a bad temper.

T: Stupid cat. Your everywhere, you deserved what you got, youre lucky I didnt do worse to
you.

P: meow
-Tim walks over to Pluto, Pluto scurries away-

M: The terrified black cat flees from his once beloved owner. Timothy already irritated, decides
to do a terrible act in his drunken state.

T: Ignorant and spoiled cat, I own you! I feed you! I gave you a home, and yet you avoid me!?
-Pluto tries to run-

T: -grabs rope- Oh please dont run away from me!! I have to do this to you, I cant help myself.

M: As you can tell Timothy is not well anymore. He hasnt been well since he became an
alcoholic. This mixed with anger and rage plus his annoyance with the cat has not made a good
combination, Tim wished and grew a dark desire to hurt the cat, even kill it just for the thirst of
doing a violent act. And so that in the morning the dreadful deed was done.
-Tim slips rope around Plutos neck and the lights turn off-
-Lights still off flashlight from phone shows on Tims face-

T: I hung it with the tears streaming from my eyes, and with the bitterest remorse at my heart; -
I hung it because I knew that it had loved me, and because I felt it had given me no reason of
offence; - I hung it because I knew that I was committing a sin - a deadly sin that would so ruin
my immortal soul as to place it - if such a thing were possible - even beyond the reach of the
infinite mercy of the Most Merciful and Most Terrible God. sigh- I love you Pluto.
-lights turn on-

M: Now with the deed done and the poor cat dead, it would seem that everything would stop,
but then a fire from an unknown source arose.
-fire-
-Nicole and Tim run out coughing-

N: What happened!?

T: I dont know!

N: Our house is gone! Everything is burned! Timothy what happened!!!

T: I told you I dont know Nicole!!

M: Timothy and Nicoles house has burned down, and unbeknownst to them, a crowd had
gathered around the ruins of their house

Crowd: How strange! Singular! Weird!!

T: Whats going on?

N: What are they looking at? Wait! What is that??...Oh My Gosh!

T: Surely there is a perfectly logical explanation for this.

M: They finally saw what happened. They saw what strange thing arose from the flames of
their house. As they approached they saw a shadow of a figure of a gigantic cat with a rope
around its neck just as the scene that happened earlier. Now I leave you with a question to
ponder: How do you believe the fire was started? The cats revenge? Or was it all just a simple
coincidence?
