Help Sheet for updating iWorks and iLife Software on your laptops:

1. Click on the Apple in the upper left hand corner and drag down to Software
Updates to verify you do not have any outstanding updates. If you do, quit out of
all Applications and run the updates. It probably will update faster at home than
on campus.
2. After you have run all the Software Updates you are ready
to locate the App Store Application. If you do not have it
on your dock look inside the Applications folder. Launch the
App Store APP.
3. Click on Store from the menubar. If your AppleID account
is up you will need to Sign Out.
4. To update iLife APPS and iWorks APPS on your laptop you will need to login to
the APP Store.app drag down to Sign In and log in as follows:
APPLE ID: applesoft@lovettsch.org
Password: Lovett1234
5. You might get a message window informing you verification is required.
(see snapshot below) Click OK.
6. After you click OK, the following screen will appear. Click Done.
7. I ran all the available updates on mine EXCEPT the one named Unarchiver.
(see snapshot below)
8. After all the APPS run successfully
I clicked back on the AppStore icon
and from the menubar I clicked on
Store and dragged down to Sign Out
from the temporary account that IT
set up for us.
9. IT plans on deactivating this acct. on Sunday, October 14th. If you were not
able to run the update before they deactivated the account you will need to take
your laptop over to IT or put in a schooldude for them to update it for you.
