Analysis of Reading Sample

The reading sample that I chose was my English 11 exam

paper. It is a compare and contrast of 1984 and Animal Farm. In
English 11 we read both of the books by George Orwell and
then compared what they had in common and what strategies the
author uses to get his point across. We also used a real life
example in the exam paper to help prove the authors point to be
true. I chose to put Malala in my paper as the real story and how
she stood up for herself and the power of education. While
reading these books and writing this essay I learned about the
importance of knowledge and how fortunate we are to be free
and to have a democracy. Being able to compare and contrast
two similar ideas is going to help me later in life so that I can
recognize small differences in problems, especially as a nurse.
