Increasing opportunities for student engagement and teaching time. Because of lack of time in the D3 and D4 curriculum the student engagement activities and opportunities to actually teach were very limited.
Opportunities to teach to dental students at the dental school organized within the current curriculum by administration.
Ongoing throughout Masters completion
Literature Reviews of education related literature is needed to understand student learning gaps and gaps in the dental pre-professional curriculum
Access to online journals and PubMed in library for research

Teacher Shadowing Experiences. An onsite teaching rotation with an instructor in the department in which you plan to teach would help develop the student- teacher. This can serve as mentor-mentee relationship and be a productive experience for new instructors.
Opportunities to be paired with a mentor teacher and observe time in and out of classroom. This can be organized by administration.
Ongoing throughout Masters Completion
Presentation Workshop. This can be a day or two class that teaches you the tricks of the trade with Powerpoint, Prezi and other technological developments that enhance teaching and delivery.
OA class/workshop can be developed and organized by administration and offered to Masters candidates at no charge.
