4/2/14 7:10 a.m. P.M. came crying at the door this am. He just kept saying cup while he was crying. His
mom said he was he forgot his Sippy at home and had been crying all the way here. She brought him
upstairs and closed the gate. She said I love you and try to have a good day. He dropped to the floor
and continued to cry. I said when you are done would you like a cup? He cried no and started kicking
his feet while lying on the floor crying. As the other kids started to come he started to stop crying and
came and asked me for a drink. I then gave him a regular cup with a top and then he started playing in
the farm box. I asked him why he was so upset. He wouldnt respond to me.
2 hours later I asked P.M. why were you so upset this morning. He said I want my cup of chocolate milk.
4/4/14 10:30 a.m. P.M. said he wants to play construction site. I took it down for him and put it at the
table. He went to the toy box and grabbed some of the farm animals and put them in the farm box and
started to set up a farm. I asked him what he was making. He responded making a farm. I then said In
a construction site? He said Ya, sure, my grandpa has a tractor on his farm. I asked What else is on
his farm? He then said cows, and trucks, and pigs, and hay. He then started setting it up.
4/6/14 12:15 p.m. We were all outside playing in the play yard. The kids were sliding down the slide but
the snow went part way up the slide. P.M. went over by the sandbox and grabbed the John Deer big
scoop tractor and brought it over to the slide and started scooping the snow off the slide. When he was
done all the kids were yelling YA! M.L. then looked at him and said thanks P.M. He had a smile from ear
to ear


4/7/14 10:10am P.M. asked for the farm box. I said we need to clean up the cars you were playing with
first. He said O.K. I then started helping him clean up. As I went to get the farm box when he was done
cleaning He said Oh No theres one more he noticed a car still under the changing table. He went and
grabbed it and put it away. I grabbed the farm box and put it at the table. M.L. then said I want to play
farm box and P.M. Said NO, Im playing. I then said Lets remember we need to share with our
friends. P.M. then got very quiet and didnt respond. Within about 2 min. they were scooping lentils
together.
4/8/14 3:10p.m. I had to go in and awake P.M. from nap. He didnt want to get up. I asked him if he
wanted some muffins. He replied ya while yawning. He came out to the table and started eating.
V.B walked up to him and P.M just started whining. Saying he cant have my muffins. I told him Hes
not going to take your muffins, hes just waiting for you. He said NO and still kept whining. I asked
him if he wants to go outside when hes done. He said NO and kept whining. I let him be for a while
hoping it would bet better but it didnt seem to. Anything I tried to suggest he said NO to.

4/12/14 4:15 p.m. We were outside playing and P.M. little brother walked up to him in the sand box and
took a tractor that P.M. wasnt playing with but it was next to him. P.M. started screaming NO, Its
Mine! I said P.M. can you share with your brother? He said No. I said can you give him a different
one you arent playing with. He looked at me and then walked over and grabbed a different one and
gave it to his crying brother. His brother then smiled and started pushing it in the sand.
4/13/14 9.50 a.m. We were getting ready for circle time and we were all singing the clean-up song. P.M.
started crying that J.G. took a toy out of his hands. I then reminded him that we are putting the toys
away, so its o.k. He cried for a few min. then started picking up other toys.
4/15/14 3:15p.m. The kids were at the table finishing snack. They all keep asking can we go outside yet.
I said not till everyones done with snack. I had one more finishing in his highchair, and P.M. mom
showed up to pick him up. She was early. He started to cry as soon as she seen him. I told him its ok if
you get ready quick maybe you can play outside with us for a little bit. Mom said Sure that would be
fine. So P.M. ran and grabbed his jacket along with the others and we all went outside. The child I still
had in the high chair, I put his snack in a bag and brought it outside with us.
4/19/14 7:15a.m. P.M. came to daycare in a fantastic mood. He was singing coming up the stairs.
Twinkle twinkle little star was his toon of choice. He got the other child that was here to start singing.
So we all started singing for the day. Nice beginning of the day I must say. The good mood continued
throughout the day. He was my little leader today.
4/21/14 10:35am P.M brought a book to read today. It was brown bear. He was really excited. Everyone
wanted to start bringing books so we picked one day a week that 1 person a week could bring a book.
After we read it he pretended that he was reading it to M.L.
4/24/14 so today we started to introduce the potty chair. I brought him in the bathroom and asked if he
ever sat on one. He said ya I then asked if he wanted to try to sit on it. He shook his head no. So I
said if you try to sit on it you can play the IPad for 10 min. He just kept shaking his head no. I will
continue to keep trying.
4/29/14 I have been asking everyday if P.M wants to try to sit on the potty. I keep telling him that he
can have 10 min on the IPad. Today he actually said it to me. Even though he didnt try it I know that
hes getting it.
