Surrealism

This is my hand made surrealism image.
In the two lessons we looked through
magazines and had to neatly cut out
our preferred picture. We learnt that
surrealism is not the ordinary, its the
extra ordinary. Neat cutting was vital in
order for the collaged image to look
like the impossible was possible. This task
of surrealism was harder than the photo
shopping because it took a lot of time
and detail. Also if you had already
stuck an image down that you then
went on to dislike; it was very hard to
start again, because you'd loose
everything else you had worked so hard
on.
Photo Shopping
The photo shopping creation of an original
surrealist image was the best task. This is
because it was quick and simple and
allowed me to play around with different
effects and get more practice on how
Photoshop works. This method is different
because it is by computer and the skills you
need are technological rather than hand
co-ordination needed to cut and neatly
stick down an image that you cant change
the appearance of. In order to develop my
skills on surrealism I would take more Care
and think about what I would like to do
rather than starting and not wanting to
complete it. If I were to do the hand made
surrealist photo again I would not stick
down the paper straight away.
