As I see it, the meaning of the poem Poetic Definitions of Poetry is that a poem is not
just thoughts it is deeper than that. Poems have more meaning and importance to them then it
might appear.
The speakers voice is both deeply passionate and appreciative of the Arts and Poetry.
Lines from the poem language of the heart or sermon of the stars shows how passionate
the speaker is and how much poetry means to them. The artistically appreciativeness of the
speaker can be seen in lines such as a portrait sketched in words and a waltz for words ,a
dance of the pen they demonstrates how well portrayed and beautiful a poem can be.
Two poetic devices used in the poem are alliteration and personification that greatly
helps covey the message of the poem to the reader while also making it smooth flowing and
appealing poem. An example of alliteration is soul, stroll While contributing to the poems
flow, and rhyme these words are possible to interpret as an example of what a poem is a stroll
inside the authors soul. A good example of personification would grammar of the soul this
example more directly sates those poems are concentrations of the writers soul.
