Lesson Plan 4

Date: October 5, 2009 Level: Second year of high school

Skill: Writing

Expected Outcomes: Students will be able to apply what they have learned regarding quantifiers to fill in some
exercises. They will be able to write their own sentences by using correctly the quantifiers.

Resources: board, markers, exercises guide, scramble sheets.

Introduction

Morning prayer 5’ Every Monday morning the students pray for their personal intentions.

Take roll call 3’


Students will be told about what the lesson is going to be about and what the
Objectives presentation 2’ main objectives are.

Core of the class

Seats Change 15’ Students will be changed from their normal seats because despite it is a good
course, the girls are too talkative and it had been a little difficult to me to keep
the classroom in silence in some occasions.

Review 15’ Students will be asked to talk about what they learned in the previous session
in order to teach the next content based on their previous knowledge. Students
will be asked to put their name tags on their table

Exercises 10’ Students will be given a guide of exercises about quantifiers in order to review
and practice the contents of the previous session where they will have to fill in
and write sentences.

Exercises answers 15’ Students will be asked their answers to check if they understood the lesson;
and their own mistakes will be taken to clarify any doubt and to explain what
was wrong (correct answers will be written on the board).

Closing

Scramble 20’ Students will be divided into 13 groups of 3 students each. Every group will be
provided a scramble sheet related to energy, they will have to complete
concepts related to energy in order to answer a question. The first group that
solves the scramble game wins.

Summary 5’ All together, we will make a summary of all what we learned during the lesson,
in order to clarify any doubt about the content.
