Todays revisions are all about transitions and flow when writing.
Follow the instructions below to revise your narrative.

1. Box the beginning of your narrative in red.

2. Box the middle of your prompt in blue.

3. Box the end of your prompt in green.

4. Underline in red places where something in your story changes. This
should have a transition, a place where you explain to the reader how
your character got from Point A to Point B.
**If there is no transition, or it feels like an important piece of
information is missing, add one in using the insert symbol and your
notebook paper.

5. Stop and reflect: Do the events of your story happen in a logical
order that makes sense to the reader? If not, reorder the events or your
story or add a transition to make things clearer.

6. Scan your essay for fragment sentences and cross them out with a
pencil. Rewrite the fragment in a complete sentence, combining
sentences if you need to.

7. Scan your essay for run on sentences. These can often be spotted by
the use of too many commas in a sentence or a sentence with barely
any punctuation at all.
