This program prepares students for teaching at the elementary or middle school levels in all schools across B.C. During their first and second year of University you are able to take any courses you would like to on top of the 15 credits from required courses. In total you should have 60 credits (if you only have 48 credits you are still encouraged to apply). In the educational services there were 10,200 jobs that opened from the year 2013-2014.
Students may enter the Bachelor of Education program during their third year; they will take a combination of courses in the Arts, Science, and Education Faculties. During the fourth and fifth years, students will take only Education courses Details Upon completing two years of undergraduate study, students may enter the Bachelor of Education program during their third year where they will take a combination of courses in the Arts, Science, and Education Faculties. During the fourth and fifth years, students will take only Education courses. Your first and second years are very flexible. Depending on what you are interested in or what you would like to take you may choose any courses (including Approved Science, Approved Canadian studies, Approved Mathematics and Degree English Requirements) The cost of this program (year 3, year 4 and year 5) is about $16,777.60; that is including tuition, books and supplies. At the end of your fifth year you will get a Bachelors degree in Teaching; also Graduates will be recommended to the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB) at the B.C.
