A shopaholics best friend and worst nightmare.. !illian "och#li
Woah$ Before reading yo#r blog % ne&er 'new that companies can do that from what yo#
p#rchase from their store. %t(s 'ind of weird how companies can 'eep trac' of what yo# b#y
from a store and then send co#pons in the mail of what they thin' yo# wo#ld be interested in.
%t(s li'e they 'now when % am abo#t to r#n o#t of something and they send be co#pons to be li'e
hey come to o#r store$ %t(s time to stoc' #p again. %n a way yes, this is really creepy b#t it is
also a good way to attract shoppers. Being a shopper that shops at m#ltiple places besides target,
% then need to choose what place has the best deal to choose from. This then t#rns into a
competition. %(m s#re a lot of people don(t 'now this abo#t what companies can act#ally do
when yo# gi&e o#t yo#r email and home address. )osting this on other than yo#r weebly page
page people can learn something from this and thin' twice gi&ing o#t their personal information$
%(m a *+(s ,id...Always$ -icolette .ariano
% co#ld not agree more with yo#r post$ %t reminded of one of those b#//feed posts that
yo# wo#ld see on o#r 0aceboo' timeline. %t is cra/y how technology sa&&y children are today
comparing it to when we were their age. %t isn(t a bad thing b#t wo#ldn(t it be interesting if 'ids
li&ed in o#t li&es as a child from the *+(s for one day1 2o yo# thin' that they wo#ld last1
Children today they are always in&ol&ing their playtime in&ol&ing technology instead of playing
o#t on the streets playing bas'etball or hopscotch #ntil the street lights t#rn on. When % was their
age % didn(t own a cellphone or an i)ad li'e they do. % ha&e triplet co#sins and they are so into
technology at the age of 1+ already. %(m not saying it is a bad thing b#t it wo#ld be nice if they
co#ld ha&e e3perience the life that we had in the *+(s. %n years to come % am interested what is in
store for #s as well as children$

%t(s always interesting to me reading abo#t identities we create online &s. the ones we
tr#ly ha&e. %t(s cra/y how a person can create someone online that #s completely different from
them specifically how they really loo'. This can be beca#se in real life they are socially
aw'ward and don(t 'now how to act aro#nd other people. Their safe /one is behind a comp#ter
screen meeting people. 5ometimes tho#gh these profiles that people ma'e #p can be completely
fa'e li'e a g#y acting as a girl, &ice &ersa. This then becomes dangero#s for the person that is on
the other end of the comp#ter screen belie&ing e&erything this person is saying b#t is act#ally
fa'e and #nreal. That is when this topic gets dangero#s and people sho#ld be be caref#l on the
internet when meeting people they ne&er met face to face$

% really tho#ght yo#r blog was interesting to read$ 9ery eye opening. %t was mo&ing from
start to finish. % can totally see where yo# are coming from when yo# were tal'ing abo#t how we
don(t act#ally write the entire story on o#r own. We go thro#gh so many tho#ghts, at the end of
my story % always thin' that % sho#ld ha&e added something rather than what % did. % act#ally
too' Writing Children(s 5tories this semester and e&ery :#estion yo# as'ed % 'new we went
thro#gh the same thing. 7&en tho#gh we started from one tho#ght and we 'new what o#r ending
was intended to be, it t#rns into something that we ne&er e3pected it to be. % li'e what yo# said
abo#t how if we ended o#r story the way we planned it we didn(t loosen #p eno#gh. %t(s always
good to thin' o#tside of the bo3 and write not in o#r comfort /ones. .y professor ta#ght be that,
that is how we end #p with an e&en better story that we co#ld act#ally.

Whene&er % read articles abo#t this topic it is mind boggling to me. %t is cra/y that all
letters can be mi3ed in a scramble besides the first letter and last letter and we co#ld still
#nderstand it. %t(s 'ind of interesting how m#ch we get ta#ght learning how to read and write
and within 8; seconds we can read a paragraph with each word being misspelled and we co#ld
still #nderstand it. "all shows #s how smart we really are if we 'now it or not. 5ometimes
writing papers we don(t catch spelling mista'es beca#se we don(t recogni/e a misspelled word
beca#se we(re #sed to what it loo's li'e. %(m glad that yo# wrote #p this beca#se it 'ept me
intrig#ed thro#gho#t the whole thing$ % also li'ed how yo# added the paragraph and the two
sentences.
7&eryone(s 0a&orite )rocrastination 5ite< 6o#T#be Rachel Carly
%t(s cra/y that 6o#T#be was created a co#ple years ago in 8++;. % feel li'e %(&e been
#sing 6o#T#be longer than that. 6o#T#be has been &ery helpf#l for st#dents and their ed#cation.
%t(s ama/ing how many &ideos and pict#res ha&e went #p on 6o#T#be in the past 1+ years.
There are downfalls to 6o#T#be when it comes to copyright and deleting &ideos that are illegal
=probably li'e o#r mash #p &ideos> they are helpf#l to &iewers. "a&ing the Ts#nami that
happened bac' in 8++?, posting e&ents from it on 6o#T#be for people to &iew globally was &ery
smart of the fo#nders. %t helps people 'eep in contact with the world witho#t ant technology
problems. % also catch myself procrastinating watching co#ntless &ideos on 6o#T#be of f#nny
&ideos instead of doing school wor'...woops.
What Can 6o# Remember1 La#ren Baranows'i
5tarting off yo#r blog with an acti&ity is a cool and different way to attract readers. %t
was cool to see what words % remembered beca#se of which way they were facing, the si/e and
also the color it was. % co#ldn(t remember a lot of them b#t the most % co#ld were the dar'
colored words. This acti&ity wo#ld bc eye catching to do with st#dents before and after teaching
a lesson to see what the st#dents ha&e learned and what they co#ld remember. %t is also
interesting what we learn abo#t o#r brains to see what we can remember more than other things.
@sing the chart for college st#dents can also be helpf#l when st#dying for an e3am that is
coming #p and we wo#ld ha&e to remember the words for open ended :#estions.

belie&e some girls wear WA6 too m#ch ma'e#p, its ridic#lo#s. %t(s cra/y to see a girl o#t that
yo# 'now all dolled #p at the bar ma'e#p and e&erything then seeing her the ne3t day on camp#s
with no ma'e#p on. % always thin' to myself that these girls don(t need ma'e#p to be pretty$ %t(s
sad at times these girls thin' that they loo' better with the po#nds of ma'e#p they ha&e on and
not their nat#ral bea#ty. )eople are born in their own #ni:#e ways. 5ome of these people don(t

@gh, these commercials get me e&ery. single. time. As yo# said with the shampoo and
conditioner commercials % always need the new and appro&ed prod#ct beca#se my hair always
needs an anti<fri// prod#ct. 5adly when yo# do r#n o#t and get the prod#ct, of co#rse yo# don(t
get the same res#lts as the commercials....damn. % tho#ght that yo#r post was interesting to blog
abo#t. 7specially adding the &ideos made it f#n to learn abo#t. The 5n#ggie commercial ma'es
yo# want to go o#t, b#y one, and ne&er ta'e it off. Let(s B#st say % may ha&e more than one
5n#ggie at home. 5ellers will do anything possible to get their prod#ct o#t there to attract b#yers
and sell their merchandise.
