Social Contract

It is important to set specific guidelines in my classroom so that our classroom environment is

always productive and running smoothly. It is also important for students to feel a sense of
responsibility and ownership in creating classroom rules.

In our classroom, we worked as a team and came up with a social contract for all students as
well as the teachers to follow. We came up with the following rules/guidelines that we felt were
the most important ones:

Show ALL pillars of character
Use appropriate voice levels
Follow the GOLDEN RULE
Keep our hands, feet, and objects to ourselves
Always be prepared
Raise our hands if we want to speak
Not bully others and be proactive

In addition to all agreeing to specific guidelines, we all took the time to read over them, have a
discussion and then we all signed it.
