Background : Maternal Mortality Rate ( MMR ) in 2013 in Magelang reported were 58 cases with 11

cases that occur in the postpartum period, and there was 1 case due to infection in the postpartum
period. Preliminary studies indicate Mungkid Health Center , 14 of the data delivery midwife in 2013
there were a total of 737 parturition where there are 448 maternal ( 60.79 % ) experienced a rupture
of the perineum , 289 maternal ( 39.21 % ) did not experience a rupture of the perineum . Of the
total rupture of the perineum , there are 353 parturition ( 78.79 % ) experienced a second degree
perineal rupture . The level of hemoglobin is rarely performed in the postpartum period and made
only upon the indication of anemia .

Objective: To determine the effect and magnitude of the risk of postpartum maternal hemoglobin
concentration versus time in the perineal wound healing in Mungkid Health Center , 2014 in
Magelang.

Methods : This study is correlative analytic approach Cohort ( prospective ) . The sampling technique
using accidental sampling method . Research conducted obtaining a sample of 34 respondents . Data
retrieval technique by measuring hemoglobin levels three days postpartum mothers and filling
inspection checklist based wound healing perineal wound healing in seven days postpartum mothers
by researchers throughout the postpartum mother who met and have met the inclusion and
exclusion criteria .

Results : 1 . Influences of postpartum maternal hemoglobin concentration versus time in the
perineal wound healing Mungkid Working Area Health Center , 2014 Magelang regency . 2 . Mrs.
postpartum anemia with hemoglobin level categories are very mild and mild anemia had chances
abnormal perineal wound healing by 4.737 fold greater compared with postpartum maternal
hemoglobin level categories are not anemic .

Suggestion : midwife checks hemoglobin levels regularly and thoroughly . Postpartum mother always
taking tablets expected given Fe and maintain nutrition and nutrients from before pregnancy
through the postpartum period . Families are expected to provide support to the mother .
