Sub : Consent for starting construction activities for 33kV substation SS2 at Marjan Island

Dear Sir,

Once the due diligence has started in Dec13, construction work at SS2 is under hold . The
project is becoming critical now as construction work at Pacific and Santorini reports is in full
swing and is likely to be completed by beginning of next year. Both of them are our customers
with connected load application of 21 MW and we are supplying temporary power to them. We
cannot fulfill their demand next year with existing cable network , which consist of 2 X 3core
300 sqmm 11kV Al XLPE cable.
Therefore, kindly accord your consent to mobilize the consultant and ask contractor to start the
work so that the substation can be commissioned by end of this year.
