Present Levels of Performance (Includes External Assessment and Self Reflection):
This year my supervisor and I have rated my work using counseling theory based
techniques as a 1 on a scale of 0-2. Through my practicum and internship, I have
realized that my original theoretical base, Individual Psychology, was not adequately
serving the needs of my students or working well within the constraints of a school-based
counseling practice. I have been exploring alternative theoretical orientations, including
Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive-Behavior Therapy and Reality
Therapy.

New skills and/or knowledge needed to meet benchmarks?
I would like to be more knowledgeable about specific techniques used by REBT and
Reality Therapy counselors.
