Super I/O Chip Examples

These are a few examples of Super I/O chips. It is important to determine the
correct super I/O on your motherboard. The Super I/O chip controls most of the I/O
on the motherboard. This includes floppies, serial ports, PS2 Mice, some keyboard
functions, and parallel ports (printers). This page does not contain all of the Super
I/O chips available as newer chips are added all the time. Super I/O chips are
usually located near the back of the computer usually behind the PCI slots, and are
most likely larger than your thumbnail as a general rule of thumb.
