Enhance Instruction with Educational Technology
Developing instruction means intertwining technology into instruction.
Examples of methods that develop instruction: computer-assisted learning, computer-
managed learning, and comprehensive models are a few. The goal and outcome of
these kinds of approaches is the improvement of student achievement. According to
the article, there are many effects to this approach. Comprehensive models aid in
enhancing reading outcomes for K-12. However, for lower-achievers/ slower readers,
a comprehensive model is not a choice but a tutorial that is closely woven to the
content's objective creates positive results for them. Research stated in the article
implies that beginner readers would produce better results if they didn't start they're
reading cycle with technological assisted aids.
Other than reading, computer-assisted aids help improve results in math,
especially with elementary and special needs children. Results are much stronger than
those of reading. Finally, the article also includes that computer-aided resources may
work with college students as well, especially in physical and social science. Many
states have been developing these strategies, and many teachers are encouraged in
implementing them.
This article is very current and up to date, our world is dominated by
technological use. It is a technological generation and era, and if this could provide us
with positive results in the educational prospect, then it should be welcomed.
Technology is helpful and powerful, but its use should be monitored, because too
much of anything is harmful.
