WWF has helped Mutti, to calculate the water
footprint of its production, from tomato
cultivation to finished product.
Mutti is the first Italian company, and one of the
few in the world, to undertake such a study.

83% of Muttis water footprint comes from the cultivation
of tomatoes
The water footprint analysis has led Mutti to commit to
reduce its water footprint by 3% by 2015
Water saving has been up to 30% since the installation of
their new irrigation system
