Time: 50 minutes
Objectives: By the end of class..
Students will understand the sequence of events in Romeo and Juliet
Students will act out scenes from each important event
Students will find a quote from that scene and present it to the class
Materials:
Markers
Poster board
Camera
Romeo and Juliet book
Procedure:
Opening:
Take attendance
Put the order of the most important scenes up on the board
Explain the scenes
Body:
Assign students into groups of 4 and have them pick 1 of the scenes (groups cant double
up on scenes)
When they figure out how they want to act out the scene, take a picture, and print it out
The students will glue that picture onto a poster board, then write the act and scene on the
top
They will then have to find a quote from that scene that fits the picture that they took and
write it on the poster board
Closing:
Hang up the posters on the wall

4.4: Present information and findings in a way appropriate to audience and context
