Materials: Whiteboard projector and camera, Key vocabulary, Sweet 15 video, Key vocabulary,
Venn Diagram,

Guided Practice: Open brainstorming discussion regarding the cost to plan an average Birthday
party in the United States. Entire class reads/reviews brief information pertaining
to the cost to plan a Quinceanera


Group Practice:
Students watch Sweet 15 video clip regarding the planning process. After video
open discussion on new/different customs learned in regards La Quinceanera
celebration.

Independent Practice

Student use Venn diagram to compare/contrast including additional unknown
information about La Quinceanera learned in the video.
