GANTT CHART
Used to represent the project in the form of network
Identifies the different types of time
Is represented by a double chart as shown below
If there is an increase in the duration of an activity
is called critical activity
This chart shows that each activity has four times:
Earliest start time
Later start time
Earliest completion time
Completion Time Later
Clearance
REPRESENTATION BY A NETWORK
There is another way to represent the network
projects, through the activity node technique
Their symbolism is as follows

The union of the nodes form a chain, called critical
path
PERT METHOD
PERT: Program Evaluation and Review Technique
Its main use is to determine the minimum duration
of a project
Deterministic PERT and Probabilistic PERT
Also used to identify activities that can be a
bottleneck and that conform the critical path
For deterministic PERT the decision maker clearly
knows the activities and the time duration
PROBABILISTIC PERT
The time duration of activities varies
Probability distribution in three times
a = optimistic time, if all goes well, under ideal
conditions
m = Most probably time, if all goes within normal
b = Pessimistic time, if all goes wrong, under terrible
conditions
CPM CRITICAL PATH METHOD
Assumed that the activity times are deterministic

Assign importance in the time and cost

The CPM method is a negotiation or bartering of
duration and direct costs, but smartly
The graph shows the behavior of the direct costs
Having as variables
CC = direct cost at minimum duration or critical
Cn = direct cost at normal duration
Dc = Minimum duration or crtical in the activity
Dn = Normal duration of the activity

if we add the points we get the graph of total costs
