Version Information
The following versions are supported for these file types.
All versions are supported for file types not listed.

ACIS (.sat) You can import or export ACIS
.sat parts or assembly files up to
and including version R22.
Autodesk
Inventor
You can import all Autodesk
Inventor parts or assembly files
from version 11 and above.
CADKEY The CADKEY translator supports
import of surface or solid entities
from CADKEY version 19 part or
assembly files (*.prt) and version
21 multibody part files (*.ckd),
including all later versions.
CATIA
Graphics
(.cgr)
You can import or export CATIA
Graphics .cgr files up to V5R22.
CATIA V5 You can import CATIA V5 parts
and assemblies up to V5R22.
The CATIA V5 Translator is
a separate product.
DXF 3D
(.dxf)
You can import from DXF 3D files
AutoCAD version R14 and above.

here it looks like if the UG\Semiens NX file are 8.0 they will not open only NX7.5 and older. Sorry.

Dear John, Thanks for information. But as I stated earlier, if I ask the same Vendor to deliver in step or parasolid
format, how much of time, it will take dont know. Any more information from you in opening
iges file will be definitely helpful. Thanks

Re: cutting an imported part
I'm seeing the same thing as file is missing some information while it was converted to step format (can happen when
exporting as different format). Can you ask the person who send this to you to send you IGS
you can check them out. BTW what is the keyway and bore size you need. You can use move Face option to change the
size.
