Music as an Effective Tool for Teaching Language in Elementary Level

Thesis Statement: This study is sought to counterbalance the problems concerning the proficiency,
fluency, grammar, pronunciation, reading skills and cognitive system of elementary students, by
recommending music as an effective tool for teaching to elementary level.
1. Music as tool for learning and teaching makes the environment visually appealing and
stimulating
1.1 The common problems encountered by the students in an English class are the difficulties
when learning to speak English, poor learning environments, and inadequate learning
materials.
1.1.1 English is the second language in the Philippines, Filipinos doesnt use it every day so
it is often riddled that grammatical patterns and formation errors are not necessary.
1.1.2 Public speaking or giving speeches is feared by most students when they
mispronounced a word.
1.1.3 Lack of awareness among school heads about the nature of languages as well as the
basics of learning a language.
