For any lines that are red or blue, verify that

the devices are connected to the correct


ports. If any devices are connected to the
wrong ports, then connect them to the
appropriate port.
Brocade Switch Zoning Issues
Possible symptoms:
A connected device does not appear in the EZSwitchSetup utility.
A device path displays red or blue lines in the EZSwitchSetup utility.
The EZSwitchSetup utility does not display the worldwide port name (WWPN).
What type
of zoning are

Check the connectivity status in the
EZSwitchSetup utility.
In the EZSwitchSetup utility, verify that the
WWPNs for all connected devices, such as
SPs and HBAs, are listed. The WWPN will
look similar to the following:

Verify that the LEDs on the switch ports are
green. If not, reseat the cables.

Check for a defective switch port as follows:
Move the cable from the port that shows up
red or blue to a vacant port designated for
that type of device.
For each device whose WWPN is not listed,
move the cable to a different switch port, and
then check to see if the missing WWPN
appears.

Check for a loose SFP module on the failed switch port
as follows:
1. Remove and re-insert the SFP module on the port
that is returning the error (either a red or blue line
or a missing WWPN).
2. Move the device that you moved in the previous
step back to this port.

Check for a failed SFP module on the switch as follows:
1. Unplug the cable from the failed port.
2. Swap the SFP on the failed port with an SFP from a
port that is working.
3. Reconnect the cable to the failed port.
