    Manner adverbs modify verbs
    In other words, manner
    adverbs answer the
    question How do you do
    something? or In what
    manner?
    Example:
    She drives carefully
    How does she drive?
    Carefully
    Adjectives modify nouns
    In other words, adjectives describe
    nouns.
    Adjectives answer the question
    What is it like?
    Example:
    She is a careful driver.
    What is she like?
    Careful
    Forming adverbs
    Add ly to the adjective form
    quick-quickly
    slow-slowly
    careful-carefully

    Irregular adverbs
    good-well
    fast-fast
    late-late
    hard-hard
    early-ealy
    daily-daily

    Spelling rules
    1. Add ly
    2. For adjectives ending in y, change
    the y to i and add ly (easy-easily)
    3. For adjectives ending in c, add ally
    ( automatic-automatically)


    Some notes on adjectives
    They come after the verb to be: He is careful
    They often come before nouns: He is a careful driver
    Remember we said we use adverbs to describe verbs?Well, here is an exception:

    For the following verbs you need to use an adjective after them, because these
    verbs describe states, feelings and senses:
    Be, get, feel, seem, sound
    I get impatiet NOT I get impatiently.
    I feel safe here NOT I feel safely here.
    CAREFUL!!!
    The verb FEEL can have different meanings. When it means
    to have an opinion about something, use an adverb.
    I dont feel strogly about it.
    Intensifying adverbs
    Incredibly
    Extremely
    Very
    Really
    So
    Pretty
    Fairly
    Absolutely
    Completely
    Totally
    At all

    The adjectives extremely or very are not
    used with adjectives that are already
    strong, such as wonderful or fantastic.
    Example:
    YES : That was absolutely fantastic.
    NO: That was extremely fantastic.
    Intensifying adverbs can make adjectives or adverbs
    stronger
    The expression at all means completely not and it is
    used in negative sentences at the end of the sentece.
    Example: She is not selfish at all.

    Very and so can also be used after negatives.
    Example: She is not very selfish.
    Adjective opposites

    Friendly-unfriendly
    Honest-dishonest
    Moral-amoral
    Social-antisocial
    Logical-illogical
    Rational-irrational
    Patient-impatient
    Considerate-inconsiderate
    Reliable-unreliable
    Organized-disorganized
