Curricular Unit Abstract

The tomato project is a three-week unit plan that utilizes technology to address IEP goals,
Common Core standards for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, and California State
standards for Science. The students will learn the main parts of the tomato plant as they plant live
tomato plants. The students will use an electronic note taking application to journal following the
Common Core standards for ELA. By the end of the unit plan the students will count and graph
the three different colors tomatoes turn as they ripen being green, yellow, and red.
