Created in 1985, the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) is today the main coalition of

international non-governmental organisations (NGO) fighting against torture. This organisation will really
help Winston and many of his friends who were caught by the thought police and taken to the ministry
of love and tortured very badly there Sometimes they attack the eyes first. sometimes they burrow
through the checks and devour the tongue. (George Orwell page.299).
Anti-Slavery International works at local, national and international levels to eliminate all forms of
slavery around the world. Slavery is one of the biggest issues in 1984 and with the support of
Anti-Slavery slavery can be eliminated WAR IS PEACE FREEDOM IS SLAVERY IGNORANCE
IS STRENGTH.(George Orwell page 18).
